The 2012 Olympic and Paraolympic Games in London are both going to be opened by HRM Queen Elizabeth II - surely the event couldn't be any more majestic and traditional... But it is maybe also because the Prime Minister of England is not quite available for representation... Ever... "My Government is situated in 10 Downing str., London" - understood...
The only question remaining is which English boygroup is going to sing at the Olympic Games and when? I think the schedule is the following:

You can expect the starring of the Rolls-Royce Boys as well... Airshow: Harry Potter and the Hooligans Of Air (finally an Airbus A380 flies over the stadium)...
